HEALTH DISPARITIES INITIATIVE
Background
In November 2004, the NC Health and Wellness Trust Fund allocated $12 million to establish an initiative on health disparities through 2009. A Task Force is consulting with expert agencies to develop criteria under which grants will be awarded to community-based and statewide organizations. The schedule for the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) is under development. Those who wish to receive notice of the RFP's release, should send an email to info@hwtfc.org.
